Make the mind a single point

One – pointed mind or sole focus on the present moment is an ancient practice of Buddhism and Yogic traditions of the East. Without the focus we tend to overload ourselves with tasks, chase the ideals that do not resonate with our spirit, and eventually live the life that is not ours.

By practicing to focus on sensations, observing emotions that land on the surface during our practice, we learn the core skill – to stay present with everything that arises or comes to the surface. And this surface is vast, it is highly intuitive – it is our BODY and BRAIN.

It is true that our mind (core system of believes) can be reshaped by being aware of our own thought processes and patterns. But how can we be aware of our thoughts if we accomplish tasks all day without pause?

There is no time to even think, and these are the circumstances of the modern life. Slowing down is frowned upon in the world of multitasking and being efficient, being a person of business, a computer programmed superhuman.

As humans, we have the power to transform our bodies, minds and lives. It starts small – like everything – it starts with intention.

Mohammed Ali’s quote is longstanding, “It’s repetition of affirmations that leads to belief and once this belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen”.

This leads to direct chain:

THOUGHT > ACTION > BELIEF > HABIT > PERSONALITY > REALITY

As always, know that during the most challenging of times, transformation happens as nothing is permanent and all matter change.
